Ethan Speicher is a 2009 RHP/3B/MIF with a 5'10'', 165 lb. frame from Chattanooga, TN who attends McCallie School. He has a thick, stocky build and some present strength. Speicher has sound pitching mechanics and his arm works well out front. He has some arm quickness to project his velocity. Speicher's fastball topped out at 80 mph. He threw a slurve type 68 mph slider that had a big sweeping break. We didn't see a change up. Speicher showed some arm strength at third base as well. Offensively, Speicher has an inside out line drive type swing and hits the ball to the opposite field. He is a 7.98 runner in the 60.
