Reggie Weatherford is a 2009 OF/2B with a 6'0'', 155 lb. frame from Lake City, SC who attends Lake City HS. He has a live athletic build and should get stronger in the future. Weatherford has solid run/throw tools that should continue to improve. He ran the 60 in 7.18 on a low track hand held and threw 84 mph from the outfield. Weatherford moved aggressively and smoothly in the outfield and looked good. He also plays some second base and didn't look as natural or comfortable in the infield. Offensively, Weatherford has a big coil and wrap to start his swing, which tends to make his swing long and cause him to hit around the ball. He's a very aggressive hitter who swings hard and has good bat speed. He flashed some gap type power in games and showed that he has some upside at the plate as he gets stronger and shortens his swing. We liked that Weatherford played very hard at all times and really hustled. He's a good bet to keep improving.
