Nick Pappas is a 2008 1B/OF with a 6'2'', 200 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA, who attends Loyola HS. Pappas has an extra large frame that is very projectable. Defensively he has good actions at first base showing nice footwork and he stays down on the ball well. Pappas has good control of his body and moves well around the bag. Also shows raw arm strength on his throws. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance with an average base. He shows bat speed through the hitting zone, and he stays back well, especially on breaking pitches. Pappas has a balanced swing and he gets leverage at the point of contact showing projectable power. There is strength in his swing when he centers the ball, and he gets rotational at times. He battles at the plate. Pappas is an excellent student as well.
