Beau Wright is a 2009 LHP with a 6'2'', 205 lb. frame from Los Alamitos, CA who attends Los Alamitos. Beau has a solid frame and looks strong. He is a LHP who not only has great stuff but he really knows how to use it. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot and got his fastball to sit 89-91 in the Metrodome. He had very good command and two very good offspeed pitches. He has an excellent feel for his change and creates deception by maintaining fastball armspeed. His curveball has a sharp 1/7 break and he locates it very well. Beau can pitch with three excellent pitches and with his sound delivery, he is a top 2009 lefty to follow for the draft.
