Joey Gorman is a 2012 LHP/OFwith a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends Ss.Neumann-Goretti HS. Compact strong build. High leg lift delivery, high separation, slow paced with good back turn, high 3/4's release, a bit cross body, has some arm speed. Low 80's fastball to 84 mph, some southpaw running action, some curveball spin, nice feel for change up, throws all 3 pitches for strikes. Two-way potential, quick hands at the plate, solid pull contact, present bat speed, aggressive hitter, has some lift, solid approach. Strong OF arm, throws carry, aggressive to the ball, made a nice sliding catch to show his athleticism. Nice player. Very good student. Named to the Top Prospect team.
