Chase Johnson is a 2008 3B/SS with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Pitkin, LA who attends Pitkin. Chase has a medium athletic frame with room to add. He hits from a slightly open stance and shows good bat speed. He uses a knee lift trigger to start his swing, and he flashes strength and pop at the plate. Defensively he demonstrated good range, and is a hard working high effort guy. He has good soft hands, and he makes a quick and clean exchange. He gets the ball away quickly and on target. His infield velocity topped at 78 mph. He is a very fundamentally sound player, and he plays hard all the time. He has solid tools that will continue to develop.
