Rivera is a 5'7" 150 pound 2006 infielder who attends Bakersfield West High School in Bakersfield, California. He has a medium strong frame and build with room to fill out. He is a switch hitter who seems to be more comfortable from the right side. He has an open stance and uses a wide base with his hands held high. He is a spray hitter with good bat speed and a short stride. Fabian showed some good strength and should show some D 1 interest. In the field, he has a short arm action and threw 79 mph across the infield during the workout. He has soft hands and is a very good fielder.
