John Stanley is a 2008 3B/OF with a 6'2'', 210 lb. frame from Bend, Oregon, who attends Bend High School. Stanley is a physical player with a very good frame and present strength. Defensively he has arm speed and solid arm strength (83 mph) on his throws from the outfield. He has a good release and his throws are online and very accurate. Stanley also moves well in the outfield showing reactions. At the plate he hits from an average base with a no stride approach. There is a lift in his swing at times. Stanley shows bat speed through the zone at times, and he stays balanced throughout his swing. There is strength in his swing and Stanley has projectable power. He is a hustle type player who plays the game hard. Stanley is an excellent student as well.
