Aaron Verboom is a 2008 OF/3B/1B with a 6'0'', 200 lb. frame from Fallbrook, California, who attends Fallbrook High School. Verboom has a good frame with present strength. Defensively he has arm speed on his throws from the outfield at 75 mph. He gets to the ball well getting good jumps and reading the ball off the bat. He made a diving catch in right field in game action, and just missed another on a diving attempt. He showed great hustle. At the plate he hits from an open and crouched stance. Verboom shows bat speed through the zone with a short and compact swing. He stays balanced through his swing, and he gets leverage at the point of contact. Once on the bases, he runs well. Verboom is a good student as well.
