Ruben Hinojosa is a 2010 RHP/1B with a 6'3'', 195 lb. frame from Round Rock, TX who attends Round Rock. Ruben has a wide shouldered large frame, broad shoulders, slender build, good presence on mound, high leg kick, arm side run on FB, feel for splitfinger and the bottom drops out of it, goes at hitters, 12-6 CB with tight spin, and he can get off the mound and field his position. Moves well around 1B, big target. Good bat speed at plate, good exit off bat, some jump, good pop to pullside. Good student.

Ruben Hinojosa is a 2010 RHP/1B with a 6'3'', 208 lb. frame from Round Rock, TX who attends Round Rock. Ruben has a very thick and strong projectable frame, and is a very big 2010. At the plate he hits from an open stance and high hand set, and will hit for serious power down the line. Uses a toe tap trigger to start his swing, and gets good leverage. He uses his lower half well and looks to pull and drive the ball on the inside half of the plate and flashes plus barrel contact. Defensively he has good actions and his arm works across the infield. He is accurate on the bag and had a top velocity of 77 mph. On the mound he works from a high 3/4 arm slot and his fastball has arm side run with sink. He also throws a curveball and changeup, and his change has nice action into hitters. He has some arm speed and good velocity with more to come.
