Taylor Shaw is a 2008 C/OF with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Ogden, Utah, who attends Weber High School. Shaw has a good frame that is lean and projectable. Defensively he has solid arm strength from the outfield with throws that topped out at 82 mph. His gets online carry on his throws to the base. Shaw also moves to the ball well. Behind the plate he has a good release, and is a nice receiver. He has accurate throws and popped 2.05. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an average base. Shaw is a line drive hitter with a simple approach. He shows bat speed through the hitting zone and he stays balanced through his swing. Shaw takes an aggressive swing. He gets good jumps on the bases, and he has the ability to steal bases. Shaw is a good student as well.
