Steven Ganser is a 2008 LHP/OF with a 6'3'', 165 lb. frame from Elmhurst IL, who attends York Community HS. He has a high hipped build, with narrow shoulders and some basic core strength. Ganser has a multi-part arm action with a very long, low stabbing action low in the back of his arm circle. He tends to drift out front with his body while his arm is in back, leaving his arm dragging behind and it doesn't catch up, lowering his velocity. Ganser's fastball was 71-73 mph and topped out at 75 mph. His curveball was 63 mph and had an early, rolling break. Ganser's change up had nice sinking action at 66 mph. He competed well and threw consistent strikes. He'll show improvement if he's able to make some mechanical adjustments. Ganser is an excellent student off the field.
