Donald Smith is a 2008 C/OF that attends Dwyer HS and resides in West Palm Beach, FL with a 5'9", 189 lb. frame. Donald has an athletic build and was one of the top prospects at the showcase. At the plate Donald has very good bat speed and quick hands. He is a patient hitter that can really turn on the ball. Donald has great upside at the plate and once he polishes his approach, he should be very impressive. Donald's batting practice was as good as any player at the event. Behind the plate Donald is very quick and athletic. He has good natural arm strength, but at times looks like he rushs too much. He stays on his toes well and his arm is accurate. Donald has great potential and will be a highest-level college prospect.
