Flashy defensive SS, very smooth, easy balanced actions, quick release, enough arm strength. Long swing, front side early, long/high finish, developing bat speed. Glove will carry as he gets stronger. Also pitches, FB to 81 mph. Good student. He was named to the top prospect team at this event.

William Medina is a 2009 MIF with a 5'9'', 138 lb. frame from North Lauderdale FL, who attends Coconut Creek HS. He has a live, young body and wiry strength. Medina was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team. He looks like he's an outstanding young defensive player with all the tools to be a plus defender at a high level. Medina has excellent body control and can make plays on the move. He has very good hands and feet and is always balanced and in control. Medina's arm strength is solid now and should continue to develop as he matures. Medina obviously enjoys playing defense and plays with flair and emotion. Offensively, Medina has the same type of hand quickness he has in the field with the bat in his hands. He has a loose easy swing with a good set up and trigger. He has surprising juice in his bat for his age and size and good rhythm to his swing. He should continue to develop offensively. Medina is a 6.94 runner and quickness is not a concern. He's an very good looking young middle infield prospect. Medina is also a good student.
