Robbins is a big strong corner guy with a good arm. If ever there was a "go as far as the bat can take him" player, Robbins is the guy. His bat stands out even among the most talented hitters in the country. He has a great swing that creates big time MLB bat speed. He knows how to hit and has excellent hitting tools. He attacks under control with good body usage. The ball screams off the barrell of his wood bat. He fouled off 5 borderline 88-90 pitches and then got a base hit. He has a well balanced slightly open stance and he just looks in control in the batters box and he is. Shows big time power potential even though his swing is very much a line drive type. He will hit at the next level, no doubt about it. Be it college or pro ball. Has some hitting similiarities to former PG player Brad Nelson. Nelson had a monster year with the bat in the Brewers organization last year. We actually like Robbins swing better at the same stage.
