Rodriguez, Sean- We’ve seen Sean many times. He probably has one of the best IF/OF arms in the 2003 class. He usually runs close to average. He flashes plus power at times. In Ft. Myers, he missed the 60, the throwing and batting practice due to his father’s car problems. He was able to play in the games where he looked better than ever. He made one throw from the hole that had Big league written all over it. For anyone who had never seen him throw before, that throw would have been a real eye opener. During one pre-game infield, Rodriguez put on a full display of his immense ability. He also looked good at the plate, and it was nice to see him smoke some line drives to RF and CF. In the past, he has sometimes appeared to be a little pull power happy. Luis Montanez and David Espinosa were recent Miami HS SS’s selected in the 1st round. I think we like Sean just as much if not more than those guys. He comes from a baseball family, he’s a baseball player, and appears to have great make-up. Signed early with Florida International.

Rodriguez put on quite a show at Tropicana. An average runner at best, everything else is on the plus or even plus-plus side. He threw 3 in a row 95 mph from the outfield, we've seen him throw 92 across the infield and 90+ from the mound. He has outstanding infield actions. He's a very good hitter who has a tendency to be early a bit too often. He hit one of the longest balls we've ever seen in a high school kid. It was foul but the ball stuck in the catwalk at the very top of Tropicana Field. Best of all is Rodriguez is a real baseball player. He knows how to play and how to act.

Rodriguez is a gifted player with smooth infield actions at SS and a plus arm that registered 92 mph across the diamond. He displayed excellent hitting ability with power and the potential is there for even more. He ran a 7.2 and also played well in the OF. With his outstanding baseball actions that feature good hands, instincts and a special arm, he could end up as a top catching prospect before he is finished with High School.

Excellent player with the ability to hit for average and power. Has a plus arm… one of the best in the “03” class! outstanding actions in the field and at the plate. Good tools across the board except a bit below average foot-speed. We think he could play many positions maybe even be a premier catcher someday. Good bloodlines, watch him very closely an outstanding prospect!

Rodriguez has excellent infield actions and can hit. Very good player. He was an add on to the original roster. Rodriguez played on the USA youth national team this past summer
