Aaron Bustillos is a 2005, 5'10" left handed pitcher/outfielder from Rowlett, Texas. He throws from a full wind up and a long, slinging arm action with a low ¾ release point. Bustillos' fastball was 72-75 mph with good left hander’s tailing action. He also threw a 60 mph curveball, and 67 mph change up. He throws all of his pitches with very fluid mechanics. Bustillos also did a good job hitting from a wide stance during the games, getting a couple of base hits, including a ringing double up the left centerfield gap.

Bustillos is a Left-hander who knows his limits and also his strengths. He is a soft throwing pitcher that competes and that is why he was succesful in Waco. His ability to get outs on the mound came from the command of his 62-63 mph curveball. He placed that pitch on the shoe-tops of batters getting them to lunge at it and created speed changes enough to keep batters guessing. His curve came in fastball counts and his 68-72 mph fastball was thrown away from the plate, ahead in the count. He showed that he understands the game. He is more of a pitcher than outfielder but did manage to shorten up behind in a count and hit one ball up the middle with some zip. He showed a good attitude throughout the showcase and created a good atmosphere in his teams dugout. He bats right-handed and might need to consider switching to protect that left arm !
