We've seen Perez many times over the last couple of years. We've seen him in the low 90s as high as 93 maybe even 94. He's a big kid who continually improves his body. He was actually over weight when we first saw him and he could still tone up a little more. The thing we've discovered about Perez is that he is going to do what it takes. He has championship caliber makeup and we expect him to be pitching and winning in the Big Leagues someday. In Ft Myers he was mostly 88-89, but the arm action and release were vintage Perez. Nobody in the country looks better at release point. The ball leaves his hand so clean and easy you would think he's flipping BP. His breaking ball will get better, but it's a good one with nice rotation. He throws it in the upper 70s and can throw it for strikes. He also has a good feel for his low 80s changeup. Perez will continue to progress and become very special. He's a backward projection in that he will become even more solid and strong without gaining weight. The arm action and makeup project off the charts.

Perez has become one of our favorites. We honestly believe he will end up throwing in the upper 90s. He is very big, but his arm works effortlessly and moves quickly. He shows poise beyond his years. His breaking ball will end up a plus pitch and he flashes a nasty changeup. Keep a very close eye on this kid!

Perez is a big powerful pitcher who uses his size to his advantage. He showed us a very nice and tension free working arm. He cruised in the upper 80’s and reached back for a 90-92 mph fastball when he needed it. His fastball had late life and his curve had a good bite to it. He has good mechanics and his easy arm could be the key to maintaining the consistent velocity he showed us. He does more than just throw hard and we expect that

Perez is a big-bodied power pitcher who threw 91 mph fastballs with good run to it and flashes a good curve at times. The ball comes out of his hand fast and he throws downhill with ease. He has “great” arm action! He has some athletic ability for his size. He is for real!

Chris was a pleasant surprise with good command of his fastball that was in the low 90's a lot. He is big, strong and has a good arm action. He touched 93 and is not afraid to go inside on batters with it.
