Watson is a Left-handed pitching prospect from Iowa. He is a 6 foot 3, 180 pound southpaw with a very good body that has strength and pitchability now and projects well over the next year or two. He has a good fast and loose arm action in a smooth delivery with sound mechanics. He showed slightly below average stuff from what we have seen from him before. His fastball sat between 85-87 mph and touched 88 with late life and less than moderate effort. His curveball was consistently at 71-72 mph with a nice down motion and bite later in its path. Watson is the QB for his High School football team and showed that type of competitiveness spill over on the baseball field. He knows how to pitch, showed a good strike-zone and has good enough stuff to get drafted. He has committed to Nebraska.

Watson is someone to keep a close eye on. The big lefty has a whip for an arm and is going to be very good. He's already a high level Division I prospect. He could end up being drafted fairly good next spring. He does have a little work to do, but everything is there. Don't be surprised at 90 or better by spring. He's a prospect!
