Alex Owen is a 5'9", 158 lb. middle infielder from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Defensively Alex receives the ball well with a good out in front stance and good footwork. He has a quick release and good transfers. His tools might play best at 2B. Alex is a right handed hitter with good balance in his swing. Alex shows a slight rock back load with average bat speed. He has a line drive swing plane with average hand strength. He made good controlled contact on pitches in all parts of the strike zone. Alex is still developing strength, and knows how to play the game. He should continue to get stronger and quicker. Alex is a very good student.
