Ryan Engh is a 2016 OF/ with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Dagsboro, DE who attends Indian River. Large frame with an athletic frame and present strength throughout. Right handed hitter with an open stance and big leg kick trigger. Generates aggresive linear lower half power with good shift into contact. Loads hands to a deep position while creating slight hand reversal, tipping barrel towards front side. Bat launches on a quick, compact plane to contact with natural lift. Drives to ball between each gap with the ability to turn on pitches inner half while creating plus bat speed and pop. Plus strength and bat speed when front side trigger is on time. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing a taller throwing position with a high energy release. Produces good momentum while working through the baseball into transition with clean glove to hand exchanges. Accurate throws to each bag with carry when creating arm extension at release. Very good student. Committed to High Point.
