2004 Underclass National Showcase
David Tillis -- Tillis is a lean 6-0 junior left handed pitcher. He has a smooth, easy, on-line delivery that enables him to throw consistent strikes with all his pitches. Tillis could probably pick up a little velocity with more use out of his lower half but the key to the future of his velocity will be adding strength throughout his body. Tillis threw his fastball 73-75 mph with some tailing action. His curveball was a 65-68 mph sweeper that Tillis tipped by his glove movement before the pitch. He also threw a 67 mph change up. He also showed hitting ability. David is a good student.
