David Rowe is a 2008 OF/P/2B with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame from Cocoa FL, who attends Cocoa. Named to Top Prospect Team. Rowe has a medium sized frame with some present strength. Defensively, Rowe has arm strength with some carry on his throws. He makes consistent accurate throws and moves to the baseball well. Rowe is a good runner (6.91) and it transfers over to his range in the outfield. At the plate, Rowe starts with an open stance and a narrow base. He starts upright and takes an aggressive hack. Rowe generates bat speed and gets good extension at contact. He stays back well on the breaking stuff and is a pull hitter. Rowe has an upper body swing and doesn't get much out of his lower half. He swings with arm bar and likes to hit the baseball when it is up in the zone. He looks to keep his swing simple. Rowe is a good student.
