David Cunningham is a 2006 SS/3B/2B from Roswell High School in Roswell, Georgia, with a 6'0'', 195 lb. frame. Cunningham has the flexibility to handle all three infield spots and can play them at the next level. He has nice footwork and always gets himself in position to make the play, and his hands will make all the plays. He has a solid arm across the diamond with good accuracy. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with very good bat speed and a line drive swing plane. Cunningham is a patient hitter and is always looking for his pitch to drive. There is strength in his swing with projectable power. He shows good hands at the plate with the ability to make adjustments and go the opposite way. He could hit at the top or middle of the order at the next level, and is a very good student as well.

David Cunningham is a 2006 infielder from Roswell, GA with a strong build, especially in the lower half. He has played plenty of shortstop at high levels in the past but with his added strength projects better at third base. He's actually added some speed over the past year, which will help him in all areas of the game. Cunningham is a smooth fielder with a solid, accurate arm who should excel at third base. Offensively, Cunningham has very strong hands and a quick line drive swing plane. He shows gap to gap power and the ball jumps off his bat to all fields. He has performed at a very high level against top pitching in the past and has the type of simple, quick approach at the plate that can adjust to very good pitching. Cunningham is a good student who has signed with Auburn.

David Cunningham -- Cunningham is a sophomore infielder from Georgia with above average strength for his age and a good fundamental approach to the game. We’ve seen Cunningham play extensively over the last year during WWBA events as a shortstop. He makes the routine play very well at that position but his overall quickness and the development of his body lead us to believe that third base will be his eventual position. Fortunately, Cunningham’s bat is plenty good enough to stand out at the corner. He has a medium spread and slightly open stance with a smooth line drive swing. With his strength and balance at the plate we wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Cunningham gradually develop some loft power over the next few years. He’s a good all around player and a good student as well. He should end up at a very high level.
