Daniel Jackson is a 5'10" 170 pound 2007 catcher and third baseman from Stockbridge High School in Stockbridge, Georgia who was named to the Top Prospect Team. He has a medium frame with good strength. Daniel has good arm strength which he showed by throwing 79 mph across the infield during the workout. He also threw 75 mph from behind the plate with a pop time of 2.05. He sets up wide and has smooth hands and feet defensively. He also showed very good body control. Jackson Has a good load and balance at the plate. He has a short quick swing and takes a high average approach. He attacks through the ball but stays within himself and stays backs well. He makes solid line drive contact with plus bat speed. A ball registered 83 mph off his bat during the game. He also showed above average power by driving the ball to both gaps. He showed good instincts on the bases by advancing on bad throws. Daniel is a good looking young hitter who is also a good student with a 3.0 gpa.
