Busy delivery, hi 3/4's release, throws downhill, long/loose arm action, arm is sometimes late. 83-86 mph FB, live when down in zone. Sweeping SL, good depth, nice Split change, good dive down, effective pitch, works all pitches low in zone. Outstanding position player, Signed with Western Carolina.

Kyle Stewart is a 2008 RHP/3B/1B with a 6'5'', 190 lb. frame from Onalaska, WI who attends Onalaska HS. He has a large frame and an athletic, lean build that should continue to add strength. Stewart is a live bodied athlete who runs well (7.02) and shows some ability at the plate in addition to his pitching. On the mound, Stewart has a full hands over head delivery with a long, sweeping arm action in back that comes through to a high 3/4's release point. He has good extension out front. Stewart lands a bit closed and looks like he's jumping at the plate at release but he's consistent and repeates his delivery well. His fastball was steady at 85-87 mph with good life down in the zone. Stewart's change up was a very nice pitch, with ideal arm speed and a consistent release point. His slider had a short, late break to it, more like a cutter. Stewart does a good job keeping the same release point and arm speed on all three of his pitches. His stuff is projectable and he should be followed very closely.

Kyle Stewart is a 2008 3B/1B/P with a 6'5'', 190 lb. frame from Onalaska, WI who attends Onalaska HS. Stewart has a long and lean projectable frame. He has very good speed/agility for size, 6.92 runner, solid arm strength, fielding actions still developing. Upper cut/lift swing from spread stance, stays short to the ball, and has raw bat speed and projectable power. He should continue to improve. Also pitching prospect, FB to 87 mph on the mound with run and he showed a good CB. Very interesting follow, and very good overall athlete.

Kyle Stewart is a 2008 3B/1B/P with a 6'4'', 185 lb. frame from Onalaska WI, who attends Onalaska HS. He has a tall, angular build with some present strength and the chance to get very strong in the future. Stewart runs very well for his size and profiles best as a corner outfielder at this point or perhaps a first baseman. His height hampers him at third base and he has to bend over for ground balls and has a long release. Stewart's big tool is his power potential. He keeps his weight and hands back well in his swing and has a upper cut swing with a long and high finish. He uses his leverage well to generate bat speed and when he makes solid contact the ball goes high and far. Stewart's swing looks like classic Dave Kingman. He took some good cuts in games and hit one bomb to RCF that showed his power. Stewart isn't the hitter you want at the plate to move the runner from second to third but he is if you want a runner to score from first base. Stewart also pitched a bit and showed some projection as a RHP. He has a long loose arm action and a mid to low 3/4's release point. His fastball topped out at 81 mph with some running action but it looked like there was plenty more in there. Keep a close eye on him, his power is real and looks usable. Stewart is also a good student.
