Dan Sozzi is a 2006 catcher from El Dorado Hills, California. He has a strong, compact body, and plays very hard. He gives you 100% every second of the game. Sozzi showed good hands and the agility to handle catching at the next level and beyond. Along with his nice soft hands, he has the footwork and agility to block nearly all pitches in the dirt. His arm plays well behind the plate. At the plate he holds his hands high and goes after contact early in the count. Sozzi makes good hard contact, and shows raw gap power, and he still has another year to go. He needs to be followed.
