2006 Mid-Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Mike Perez is a 2008 3B/C that attends DeMatha HS and resides in Davidsonville, MD with a 6'0", 195 lb. frame. Mike has a strong body and shows good raw power potential at the plate. At the plate Mike has good bat speed and nice raw power potential. He is a little stiff at times in the box and will need to smooth out his approach some. With some adjustments Mike has the ability to hit at a high-level college program. In the field Mike has solid actions with an accurate arm. Behind the plate his release is quick but his arm strength is limited at this point. Mike looks like he would fit in best at first base. Mike is a player that will attract the attention of many mid to high-level college programs.
