Curtis Rodrick is a 2006 C/MIF/1B from North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, with a strong and solid 6'0"/195 pound frame. He is a solid switch hitter with a good base from the right side. He showed good hands and slight lift in his swing. Rodrick is a pull hitter from the left side with an aggressive swing. Curtis is smooth behind the plate and is a very good receiver. He has a good lower half and his throws to second base seemed effortless. Rodrick has soft hands and is a good defensive catcher.

Rodrick is a strong looking switch hitting junior catcher from Massachusetts. He threw 74 mph during catching drills with a best pop time of 2.11. Rodrick tends to stand straight up to throw, which slows his release. Some work on his technique could make a huge difference. From the right side of the plate, Rodrick sets up with low hands and a knee lift trigger. He has a good path to the ball and shows some hand and wrist strength at contact. Left handed, Rodrick has a wider stance with a better loading action. Good switch hitting receiver. Rodrick is a good student.

Curtis Rodrick is a 2006 switch hitting catcher from Bedford, Massachusetts. He has a strong, thick, solid body at 6'0", 200 pounds, and was named to the Underclass Top Prospect Team. He showed a slightly open stance with good balance and bat speed from both sides of the plate, but appears to be a natural right handed hitter. Rodrick showed solid contact, and good power to all fields during batting practice and in games. As a catcher, he showed outstanding receiving skills, and an impressive 2.03 pop time with good carry on his 71 mph throws. Curtis can play and he is a good student.
