Cody Borden is a 2008 RHP/OF that attends Menchville HS and resides in Newport News, VA with a 6'4", 180 lb. frame. Cody has a tall projectable pitcher's build. On the mound Cody throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle. He gets a good downhill plane on his fastball with nice run. Cody shows an average curveball that will need some tightening in the future. With some more extension in his arm circle Cody should really see his velocity jump. His potential is high on the mound and he just needs to work out a few things. At the plate Cody is mainly a contact hitter at this point that will go to the opposite field. He has online outfield actions with good carry on his throws and nice athletic ability. Cody has good potential on the mound and could be a solid mid to high-level college prospect.
