Craig Wocl is a 2007 OF with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Trumbull CT, who attends Fairfield College Prep. He has a nice athletic body on a medium build. He has some width at the hips to add strength in the future. Wocl ran the 60 in 7.13 and threw 80 mph during outfield drills. He showed sound overall defensive actions and nice arm strength, with a balanced release and good carry. Offensively, Wocl is a left handed hitter with an open to closed approach. He gets his hips into his swing early and has an upper cut swing with good bat speed and a high finish out front. It's a power/pull approach and Wocl does a good job staying balanced and on the ball as long as possible. More strength should help him to continue to develop his power in the future. Wocl has a good upside to his game and could surprise people down the road. Keep a close eye on him. He is also an excellent student.

Craig Wocl is a 2007 outfielder from Fairfield Prep HS in Trumbull, Connecticut, with a strong, solid 5'11"/180 pound frame. Craig was named to the Top Prospect Team. He is a left handed hitter that generates very good bat speed and gets the barrel on the ball. He has good hands with strength in his swing and good power potential. Wocl makes consistent hard contact and has a sweet swing from the left side. Craig has a strong arm from the outfield at 84 mph. He moves well defensively and is a solid outfielder. Wocl is a very good student.

Craig is an '07 OF/P with a lean 5-11/165lb body from Trumbull, CT that flashes a good upside. At the plate he hits from a wide base with quick hands and shows gap-to-gap hitting capabilities. From the OF his 83mph throws had good carry life and he shows good throwing form. He is very young, but shows good athletic actions with a long, projectable body. He is one to key an eye on in the next two years. We feel he can develop into a special player with some work and maturity.
