Jackson Nichols is a 2008 2B/OF with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Franklin, TN, who attends Christ Presbyterian Academy High School. Nichols has a compact frame with an athletic look. Defensively he moves well on the infield showing athleticism and good range. Nichols has soft hands that allow him to make the routine plays. He comes through the ball well and doesn't allow the ball to play him. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits with a simple and good approach. Nichols is a contact hitter with a line drive swing plane. He has hand quickness and a short swing that will allow him to hit for average in the future. Shows bat speed through the hitting zone and he makes consistent contact. Once on the bases, Nichols has good first step quickness and the ability to take an extra base. He is also a good student.
