David Hart is a 2007 SS/3B/2B with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Long Grove IA, who attends North Scott HS. He has a very nice athletic body that projects well for gaining strength. Hart ran the 60 in a quick 7.02 and threw 80 mph during infield drills. He moved well to balls in the infield but his infield instincts and actions are long and raw. His athletic build, speed and defensive actions profile him better in the outfield in our opinion. Offensively, Hart is a back foot hitter who keeps his weight back and his hands inside the ball. He makes solid contact to right centerfield, especially when he gets pitches on the inside half of the plate. Hart's ability to handle balls on the outside half will improve with better balance and direction through the ball. Overall, Hart is a good looking athlete with raw baseball skills. His strength is projectable and he will improve with more repetitions and some adjustments.
