Ryan Roberts is a 2009 C/3B with a 6'1'', 192 lb. frame from Pelham, AL, who attends Pelham High School. He is a young player with a presently strong and athletic looking frame. Defensively he has nice footwork behind the plate with the ability to block balls to both sides. His throws were very accurate and right on the second base bag with solid pop times. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from an average base. Roberts uses a short stride allowing him to get good leverage in his swing at the point of contact. The leverage and his present strength help provide raw power in his swing, and he projects to add more power in the future. He turns on the ball well and shows an easy lift in his swing. Projectable bat.
