Drew Garren is a 2008 2B/RHP with a 5'11'', 150 lb. frame from Augusta, Georgia, who attends Aquinas High School. Garren has a lean and projectable frame. Defensively he has solid footwork at second base, and he showed range to both sides. Garren showed the ability to make the back hand play on balls hit back up the middle. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance with a slight crouch. Garren battled at the plate during game action fighting off tough pitches. He has the ability to hit to the opposite field. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with solid arm speed, and Garren has a long arm circle on the back side. He works inside with his fastball that topped out at 77 mph, and he showed control of the pitch. He also mixed in a 64 mph curveball and a 55 mph knuckleball. Garren is also a very good student.
