Mason Randolph is a 2010 C with a 5'10'', 150 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Coronado. Mason is a young switch hitting player with a slender and athletic frame and lots of room for him to add size down the line. He works hard and is athletic behind the plate. He blocks well and is a solid receiver with soft hands. His hands and feet are coming and his pop time could drop signifigantly based on his athleticism. He has some arm strength, and could develop a lot more as he continues to grow. He uses a similar approach from both sides of the plate, hitting from a wide open stance with his hands set at his shoulder. He gets his hands into a good slot and has a line drive swing path that generates some solid contact. Randolph is a good young player with potential. Mason is also a good student.
