Robert Machado is a 2008 RHP/2B/OF from Malden Catholic HS, residing in Everett, Massachusetts, with a 6'3"/208 pound frame. Robert has a tall and lanky frame. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with long and loose arm action. Machado has good arm speed with a balanced and online deliverty with some effort. His fastball has arm side run at 89 mph and he will throw it inside. Robert has a solid 11-5 curveball at 73 mph and his changeup has sink at 79 mph. He is an athletic player with good actions coming off the mound. Machado hits from a slightly closed stance with a line drive swing plane. He has lift at times and stays inside the ball. He does get long at times and will pull off the ball. Robert's future is on the mound. He is a good student.
