McGee is a young "06 2B/OF from Marshall, TX. At 5'8/160 he has a strong stocky type body with room to grow bigger and stronger. He has good feet and enough arm to develop into a good 2B at the next level. His hands and range are fine and his instincts are very good. He is a hustle guy and plays the game the right way. At the plate he has a good base with above average bat speed, a good approach to contact. Shows some pull-side power in his bat. His swing plane has some lift to it and he hits through the ball with a one handed release. He has skills offensively and with some coaching defensively he has excellent potential at the college level. Colton is a good student.
