Colton Gabrielson is a 2008 3B/P/OF with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from Moorpark, CA, who attends Moorpark HS. Gabrielson has a lean and strong body. Defensively he has solid hands at third base to make the routine play. His throws across the diamond were 70 mph with accuracy. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open and crouched stance. He has a high back elbow with a low hand set pro-pitch. Gabrielson uses a slight upper-cut swing, and turns on the ball well. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle on the back side. He pitches out of the stretch and throws slightly across his body. Gabrielson's fastball topped out at 74 mph, and he mixed in a 63 mph breaking ball. He pitches to the corners of the plate, and showed good tempo on the mound.

Colton Gabrielson is a 2008 3B/OF/P/C from Moorpark HS, residing in Moorpark, CA, with a 6'0" 165 lb. frame. Has a medium build with room to fill out, yet some present day strength. Offensively Gabrielson has an arm bar load, creating some length in his swing. He is aggressive in the box with hips that work early. One of his first moves it to drop his hands, adding length to the swing. Defensively he went to the ball and had a patient release with conservative feet. On the mound Gabrielson pitched from an over the top slot. He used a simple delivery and showed ok direction down the slope. His 72-74 mph FB actually had a little wrinkle. His slurvy CB got hitters to commit their hips early and to roll over. Gabrielson threw lots of strikes and with below average stuff showed some pitchability. He is a follow prospect for the small college level.

Cody Gabrielson is a 2006 OF/1B from Moorpark HS, residing in Moorpark, CA, with a 6'4", 200 lb. frame. He has an excellent body with broad shoulders. His build is powerful but he still has room to grow and gain even more strength. There is strong leverage in his swing and the ball gets off his bat well. He hits from a square stance and for the most part Gabrielson displays good balance, though he needs to stay on the curveball better. However, his strength to and through the ball, with his strong hands and forearms, indicates that he is going to hit for considerable power. Gabrielson has a swing path that results in oppo drive ability and present raw power to all fields. He hammered fastballs. In the field Gabrielson's feet are a strong asset. He has good hands and did a nice job of picking low throws at first base. His arm is strong, with a long, slinging type arm action that suggests he may even have a future on the mound if he does not hit against upper level pitching. His body is clearly one that every scout will notice when they walk in the yard and during batting practice Gabrielson can put on a show. He is a follow for both the D1 and pro game. Gabrielson would be a good draft and follow player to see how that power potential develops.

Cody Gabrielson is a 2006 OF/RHP/1B from Moorpark HS in Moorpark, CA, with a 6'4", 195 lb. frame. Gabrielson has a strong body with broad shoulders and a long upper half, and still has room for more strength. Defensively he has good actions in the outfield with solid arm strength, but needs to stay behind the ball consistently on his throws. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with good bat speed from an upright stance with a toe tap trigger. The ball jumps off his bat and Gabrielson shows some present raw power with more to come. He stays back well and keeps his hands inside the ball, and gets good extension on his swing. During the games he was short and compact on fastballs, but slows his bat at time on breaking balls. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with some life, and he mixed in a slow breaking curveball at 73 and a solid change up with good arm speed. Gabrielson could be a two-way prospect at the next level, but his bat will play for sure. He is also a good student.

Cody is a 2006 grad from Moorpark High School in the Southern California area. He has an extra large frame at 6'4" and strong build (195lbs). He has good square shoulders and is well proportioned thru out to add more muscle in the years to come. Cody profiles as a big, middle of the order first baseman with raw power and ability to get the ball in the air. He has a quiet approach at the plate with a wide base. Cody will need to continue to work on his rhythm at the plate and his flow to the ball. Cody handles himself well at first base on defense, showing good hands and footwork around the bag. He also took a turn on the mound and showed some raw arm strength, topping out at 79 on his fastball. We like his size, strength and potential. He should just keep improving his hitting and athletic ability. Very good 06 prospect and good student.

Cody Gabrielson is a 2006 first baseman from Moorpark, California, with a large frame, and strong athletic build to add more muscle. He has a lively body, and showed good balance and an accurate arm from the outfield. Gabrielson has sure hands and good footwork at first base, and is aggressive towards the groundball, and handled some in between hops well. He swings from a wide base and small stride towards contact, more of a strength approach that is short to contact. Gabrielson is a middle of the line up type bat that should generate RBI's at the next level, and his bat will play well at the college level. Still has a year to go and he projects large. Cody is a good student.

Cody is a 2006 grad from Moorpark, California with a tall lean projectable body, long arms and legs and the frame to add more muscle in the future. He shows good raw power with the bat in batting practice and generates good bat speed through the zone. Cody is an upper half hitter who gets little torque or rotation from his lower half and he could really improve his swing with some lower half involvement. Cody also took a turn on the mound, throwing 78 mph with an easy tempoed delivery and a smooth arm action from a low 3/4's slot. While he didn't throw hard this day, everything looks like he has the chance to improve in the future. He also threw a 69 mph slurve that had good depth at times and showed nice feel on a 71 mph change up. Overall, Cody is a well rounded talent with the very good potential to improve. He is also a good student.
