Clint Franklin is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Longwood, FL with an athletic, wide shouldered build at 6-3, 180 lbs. He throws with a full hip turn and keeps his arms and legs tight to his body, with a short arm circle and a drop and drive delivery that has some effort. Franklin's fastball gets up there in a hurry at 91 mph with some running action. His 76 mph curveball had more of a slider type of break to it. There's plenty of deception to the hitter from Franklin's delivery. Franklin is also an excellent athlete who has a lot of ability as an outfielder that he hasn't fully developed yet. He ran the 60 in 6.51, one of the best running times we've seen for a primary pitcher, and shows good bat speed at the plate when he keeps his weight back. High level prospect!
