2007 Holiday Open Showcase
Christopher Jones is a 2007 2B/3B that attends George Washington HS and resides in New York, NY with a 6'0", 198 lb. frame. Christopher has a well-developed athletic build. He has very good raw hitting tools and will be playing for one of the top teams in the Northeast this spring. At the plate Christopher has very good bat speed and strength in his swing. When everything is working together Christhopher has very good raw power potential. Christopher tends to reach for the ball too much and becomes pull happy, but this can be corrected when he gets his balance and weight transfer corrected. In the field Christopher best profiles at second base or in the outfield. He circles the ball well in the field but takes a little long getting rid of the ball. Christopher is a bit raw at this point, but definetly has the tools to work with. He is a player that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
