E. Garrett Clements is a 2008 1B/P with a 5'10'', 155 lb. frame from Roswell, Georgia, who attends Centennial High School. Defensively he has a quick arm on his throws from first base across the diamond with good accuracy. He moves well around the first base bag with solid actions. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a wide base with a short stride. Clements has good bat speed with a line drive swing plane. During batting practice he was just missing under balls, but made solid contact when he centered the ball. Clements uses the whole field and projects as a contact hitter. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose arm. He gets good arm side run on his 74 mph fastball, and mixed in an 11/5 curveball. Clement has good command of both pitches and throws strikes. He kept hitters off-balance mixing his pitches well.
