Anthony DeMarco is a 2008 SS/IF/OF with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from San Jose CA, who attends Archbishop Mitty HS. DeMarco flashes moments of intriguing ability. He has a rangy, strong, and athletic body that should continue to be an asset for him. There is some bat speed there and he swings the bat aggressively. When his timing mechanism was in tune, there was some lively contact as a result. There is some length to his swing, but he can make his swing work for him. He should develop enough power to get into the gaps from time to time. Defensively DeMarco has some arm strength. He has good hands and made low trajectory throws. His reactions seemed more suited to 3B as an infielder and long term he seems to have raw ability suited to being a solid corner outfielder.

Anthony DeMarco is a 2008 right hand hitting infielder from Archbishop Mitty HS, residing in San Jose, CA. He has a 6'1" 180 lb. frame and a long, rangy, athletic build that will continue to fill out as he gets older. DeMarco flashed some interesting ability and it would not be surprising to see him start to come on big time in the coming spring season. He hits from a spread out stance and showed a potentially lively bat and good bat speed. He seemed to have the ability to get the barrel in the hitting zone on time and it was interesting to consider what time and reps will do for him. DeMarco hit the ball to all fields and should be followed as a hitting prospect. He has some power that will develop in the next few years. Defensively he played very well at 3rd base. He has a good arm and the ball exited his hand well. DeMarco has a decent release and when that release gets even quicker, his raw arm strength will become a stronger asset. He is athletic enough to play just about anywhere in the infield, with is footwork being best suited to 3rd base. good arm, ball exits hand well, decent release, has some feel, athletic. Western college programs should put him on their follow lists and get a look at him in the summer of 2007. He is interesting.
