Patrick Coleman is a 2008 OF with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Pittsford NY, who attends Pittsford Sutherland. Coleman has a medium sized frame with a thin lean body. Coleman's straight line 60 speed (7.08) transfers over to his good range in the outfield. He moves to the ball well in the outfield and his feet glide to the ball. He throws uphill from the outfield and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Coleman starts with a wide base and uses a no load approach. He doesn't take a stride to start his swing and throws his hands to the ball. Coleman has a short compact stroke with quick hands. He swings on a line drive swing path and has present line drive pop. Coleman maintains good balance through his swing and is presently a contact hitter. He will hit for more power as he swings with more leverage. Comeman is a good student.
