David Turner is a 2009 OF with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame from Millersville, MD who attends Severna Park HS. Slender athletic build, good projection. Showed good bat speed, smooth swing, quick hands, some upper cut, looks to pull, projects some pop. Smooth defensive actions, good routes and range , fair arm strength. 7.18 runner. Good student.

David Turner is a 2009 OF with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Millersville, MD who attends Severna Park HS. He has a nice athletic frame and should continue to get stronger. Turner is a nice looking all around athlete with tools across the board. He ran the 60 in 7.04 and showed his range well in the outfield. His outfield fundamentals were good and he made on line throws from good carry and accuracy, although he needs to work on getting rid of the ball more quickly. Offensively, Turner has quick hands and shows some bat speed. He likes the ball inside and can turn on the ball and keep his swing short and quick. He'll tend to loop under balls on the outside half and away. Turner's quick hands enable him to work through a late hitch getting the bat started and that might be something he has to address as the game gets faster. Turner has tools to develop and is a good follow. He is also a good student. Turner was named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.

David Turner is a 2009 OF/MIF from Severna Park HS in Severna Park, MD with a 6'0", 165 lb. frame. David has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out. At the plate David hits from a spead stance with somewhat of a late trigger. He shows good bat speed at the plate but does not always get things going early enough. When he works on his trigger and load he will see more hard contact on a consistent basis. In the outfield David showed athletic actions and was able to get to the ball well. He has a good arm action with nice carry on his throws and looks to have nice upside in the outfield. David looks like a kid that will attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
