2006 Mid-Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Adam Schopick is a 2007 RHP/2B that attends Portsmouth HS and resides in Portsmouth, NH with a 6'1", 165 lb. frame. Adam has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out. On the mound Adam throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm circle. Adam showed some outstanding cut action on his fastball that can't be taught. While he doesn't feature a standout breaking pitch Adam really knows how to pitch and set up hitters. At the plate Adam makes good contact but his swing is a little choppy. He needs to level his swing out some and work on his balance. In the field Adam shows very good footwork but the rest of his actions would make second base his ideal position. Adam is a player that could attract the attention of many smaller college programs.
