Richard Hennessy is a 2008 RHP/3B with a 6'2", 175 lb frame from Loxahatchee, FL who attends Cardinal Newman HS. Richard has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out. On the mound Richard gets a good downhill plane on his pitches from a short arm action. His mechanics need some work though as doesn't follow through well and lands very stiff. His command was off, which could easily be attributed to his mechanical issues. At the plate Richard has a good approach with a short balanced swing and a line-drive plane. He showed good hands quickness and is able to pull the ball easily while staying inside of the ball. Richard is a player that could attract the attention of many mid to high-level college programs.
