Simon Beloff is a 2008 1B/P with a 5'10" 170 lb frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Jupiter HS. Simon has an athletic build that with some room to add strength. He shows good raw hitting tools with an aggressive hitting approach and good hands. Simon has good balance in his swing and shows nice gap to gap pop. At first base Simon has clean actions and a good feel for how to play the game. Simon throws from a low 3/4 arm slot on the mound and gets great life on all of his pitches. He has very good action on a tight 2 to 8 curveball and is very efficient with his pitches. He has the tools to also be a primary pitcher. Simon is a solid student that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
