Zach Eckley is a 2007 RHP/IF that attends Great Valley HS and resides in Malvern, PA with a 6'4", 175 lb. frame. Zach has a tall projectable pitcher's build with a lot of room to fill out. On the mound Zach throws from a OH arm slot with a long loose arm action. Zach gets a nice downhill plane on his fastball and works very quick on the mound. He will need to work on developing his off-speed pitches and getting more out of his lower half if he wants to see his potential reached. At the plate Zach showed some nice line-drive contact but really needs to work on getting his arms extended through the ball. With a few adjustments Zach could be a very solid high school hitter. In the field Zach has a quick release but tends to push the ball a little too much. First base would look like the best option for Zach as he makes a good target for infielders. Zack is a kid that might attract attention from some smaller colleges.

Zach Eckley is a pitcher/infielder from Malvern, Pennsylvania, with a solid and lean frame. Zach pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with clean arm action. He moves his fastball around the zone at 82 mph. Eckley also throws a 12-6 curveball with down action at 71 mph. In the infield, he has quick actions defensively. Zach has soft hands and an accurate arm across the diamond. Eckley hits from an upright stance and gets good carry when he centers the ball.
