Richard Glenn is a 2010 C/P/1B with a 5'10", 182 lb frame from Flossmoor, IL who attends Mount Carmel HS. Richard has an athletic build and showed solid tools for his age. At the plate Richard has good present strength, but has some issues in his swing mechanics. He is very off-balance in his approach causing many other parts of his swing to fall apart. His swing is a little inside-out right now and he needs for everything to be going right to make contact for him to have success. Behind the plate Richard has a quick release and transfer to go along with solid arm strength. His receiving skills are a little raw at this point, but he has plenty of time to improve. On the mound Richard has an aggressive pitching style with good arm speed from a short arm circle. He gets good run on his fastball, but his mechanics are pretty raw at this point. Richard is a young player that should attract the interest of many college programs in a few years.
